International Training workshop
"Geohazards Risk Assessments using Geospatial Tools and
Techniques along the CPEC"
8-11 March 2022

An international training workshop was organized from 8-11 March 2022 with the title “Geohazards Risk Assessments using Geospatial Tools and Techniques along the CPEC” (Brochure in Figure 1) by the GIS and Space Applications in Geosciences (GSAG), National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar in partnership with the Karakorum International University, China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences, Quadie-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and Centre for Disaster Resilience, University of Twente, Netherlands.. The workshop was organized at the R. A. K. Tahir Kheli, Auditorium of the National Centre of Excellence in Geology. The workshop was attended by around 25 participants mainly the postgraduate students from academia and on-job professionals (Table 1). The resources persons for the workshop were mainly the project PI, Co-PI and some foreign professors. The schedule of the workshop (Table 2) was focused on the research activities of the project and to train the participants through hand on practices. The workshop lectures were well received by the participants with lively discussion and sharing knowledge and experiences. Some of the photos of the workshop are given in figures below
