Applications are invited for the following position in the "GIS & Space Applications in Geosciences (G-SAG)” laboratory at the NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar under the HEC approved project “Establishment of National Center of GIS and Space Applications (NCGSA)”. The positions are purely on a contract basis.

BS or equivalent degree in the field of Geology, Geospatial Sciences (GIS/RS), Geography/Geophysics/ Environmental Geosciences, from any HEC-recognized University |
Preference will be given to MS students with proven experience in Geohazards. |
Terms and conditions
- Walk-in-Interview will be held at the NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar, on 31st March, 2026 at 10:00 AM for recruitment to the above-mentioned position in the “GIS & Space Applications in Geosciences (G-SAG)” Laboratory.
- Preference will be given to candidates having proven experience in Geohazards assessment, higher/additional qualifications, PGD in GIS/RS, relevant professional experience, and research publications.
- The selected candidate will be required to actively contribute to the Geohazards theme of the project.
- The position is purely on a contract basis, initially up to 30th June, 2026, and may be extended based on satisfactory performance until the completion of the project.
- The selected candidate shall not have any claim for permanent appointment in the Centre.
- The PI/Lab Director reserves the right to increase, decrease, cancel, or modify the position(s) without assigning any reason.
