MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG),
University of Peshawar
Purpose:
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is inked between Galaxy Gemological Institute (GGI) and the National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar, to establish a framework for mutual collaboration in the testing and analysis of minerals and gemstones. The parties aim to foster cooperation and explore potential areas of collaboration, with detailed terms and conditions to be discussed and formalized at a later stage.
Parties:
- Galaxy Gemological Institute (GGI):
GGI is a leading gemological laboratory specializing in the evaluation, grading, and certification of gemstones. The GGI is committed to maintaining the highest standards of testing, GGI seeks to leverage advanced mineral testing services to enhance its offerings, (ggilab.com). - National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar:
NCEG is a premier institution focused on advanced research and education in geosciences, offering expertise in mineral analysis and state-of-the-art facilities, (nceg.uop.edu.pk).
Scope of Collaboration:
- Exploration of Opportunities:
- Both parties agree to explore collaborative opportunities in the field of mineral testing and gemstone analysis.
- Provision of Services:
- NCEG may provide mineral and gemstone analysis services to GGI under terms to be mutually agreed upon.
- GGI and NCEG will work together to determine specific requirements and service parameters during subsequent discussions.
- Knowledge Sharing:
- Both parties will share technical expertise and industry insights to support joint objectives and build a strong foundation for cooperation.
- Future Agreements:
- Detailed terms and conditions, including but not limited to pricing, confidentiality, and intellectual property, will be formalized through separate agreements or addenda as needed.
Duration and Renewal:
- This MoU is effective upon signature by both parties and will remain valid for a period of two (2) years, unless terminated earlier by mutual consent.
- The MoU may be renewed or extended through written agreement between both parties.
Goodwill and Mutual Understanding:
- This MoU is a statement of intent to collaborate and does not constitute a legally binding agreement.
- The parties affirm their commitment to establishing a relationship based on trust, goodwill, and shared objectives.
