INTRODUCTION
Established in 1974, the National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG) is a leading institute in Pakistan for higher studies and research in geosciences. Besides education and research, NCEG also plays a major role in organizing conferences, seminars and workshops on topics related to geosciences. One of the successful events of NCEG is the “Earth Sciences Pakistan (ESP)” conference organized biennially. The first event of this series was held in 2010, followed by events in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. We are pleased to announce that the next conference of the series is scheduled in 2022. This international event will provide an opportunity to the geoscientists to exchange and share their research and innovative work among the scholars.
A wide-ranging and interdisciplinary approach is required to address the Earth Sciences related global challenges. This international conference “ESP 2022” aims to bring together scientists from academia and industry, professionals, professional consultants and graduate students from all over the country and abroad to present their research on various aspects of earth sciences.
SPONSORED SESSIONS
Besides the traditional conference themes (listed below), this conference also offers sponsored sessions to all the government and non-government organizations who need a better platform to showcase their research and professional activities to share with the community. In this regard, the “ESP 2022” will provide all conference facilities for the sponsored sessions. Each sponsored session will be of 1–3 hours duration. The sponsored session will be dedicated to the organization concerned, who will lead/chair the whole session.
EXHIBITION
he ESP 2022 provides an opportunity for corporate sector to showcase their products/services and connect with 500+ researchers, stakeholders and policy makers from all over the country and abroad. They can network with attendees and access to ALL educational sessions. Last date for stall booking is 10 May, 2022.

Boarding/Lodging for Locals: Rs. 10000 (03 nights Bara Gali Campus shared accommodation; Rs. 4000 for students) The participants are requested to make their own arrangements for off-campus accommodation, the organizers may suggest hotels for off-campus accommodation.
The registration fee covers all meals and refreshments from 24th June (evening) to 27th June (evening).

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND CORRESPONDENCE
- Abstracts should be submitted to earthsciencespakistan@gmail.com on or before 25th May, 2022.
- Abstract template is available at: http://nceg.uop.edu.pk/conferences/ESP2022/esp2022.html.
- The conference abstracts will be published in an abstract volume of the Journal of Himalayan Earth Sciences (JHES). An abstract will only be published after paying the registration fee up to 25th May, 2022. There will be a poster competition among the students’ posters. A poster evaluation committee will select the best poster of ESP 2022. In order to avoid any inconvenience, all the applicants who prefer oral presentations should submit their PPTs prior to 15th June, 2022. The sooner, the better. This forum provides the opportunity to submit the papers orally presented at the conference for publication in the Journal of Himalayan Earth Sciences (JHES). After submission, the papers will be sent for peer-reviewing. The revised papers, if being accepted, will be published in a dedicated volume of JHES.
