Climate-induced natural hazards have posed a significant challenge to the sustainable development of Pakistan. To discuss, understand and plan to mitigate and adapt to the changing climate and its potential impacts on the communities and infrastructure, the University of Bristol, United Kingdom, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar and Himalayan University Consortium, have jointly organized the policy workshop on “Climate-Induced hazards and associated risks for Critical Infrastructure” on 03 June 2024 at the Baragali Summer Campus of the University of Peshawar, Abbottabad. The workshop aims to discuss the ongoing research with the potential stakeholders, policymakers and researchers, to incorporate their knowledge, experience and priorities in further research plans. The workshop is comprised of presentations from the organizers followed by extended discussions to contribute to framing the research priorities and policy guidelines for climate and disaster-resilient Pakistan. Researchers, policymakers, professionals and students are invited to attend and contribute.
