Topic: "CPEC as an Opportunity to make KP the Conduit of Minerals Silk Route"

The National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar, have organized second seminar of the HEC Performance Model on "CPEC: An opportunity to make KP the conduit of Mineral Silk Route".

The guest speaker Mr. Hassan Daud butt, CEO KPBOIT, highlighted the role of NCE in Geology in contributing towards the Economic Development of the Province. According to him Mineral Potential of KP in the backbone of CPEC Project and have profound impacts on the socio-economic development of the KP and merged districts. CEO, KPBOIT, strongly emphasized on the role of academic institutions in the mineral sector development and urged that there should be strong linkages with Government in the order to bring revolutionary changes according to mandate of the Government.

The seminar was attended by professionals from Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Geological Survey of Pakistan, Karakoram International University Gilgit and other academic organizations from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

At the end Dr. Liaqat Ali, Director, NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar, addressed that NCE in Geology have world class facilities and Ph.D doctors in every discipline of Earth Science and can collaborate with Government for uplifting the Mineral Sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
