Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (ERKF)
SMEs Inventory with GIS Mapping Survey (SIGMS) is initiated by the FATA Secretariat, Peshawar, as a one of the component of the project entitled “Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (ERKF)”. The implementing partner of the SIGMS activity is the National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar, Peshawar. Key objectives of the SMEs Inventory with GIS Mapping Survey (SIGMS) are as follows:
- • Through SIGMS, ERKF-FATA project will develop a comprehensive data of those SMEs which are rehabilitated or upgraded or both with their locations through Geographic Information System (GIS), which will also serve as SMEs location based data in FATA.
- • The results of the survey will be developed into a Geo database and will be uploaded on web. The database may be used for further study & analysis to identify the gaps, shortcoming. The outcomes of the survey may be used in planning of different developmental activities like commodity markets in FATA, Marble cities or can be many others.
- • Through SIGMS the impact of the project’s interventions can be measured during monitoring and evaluation exercise.
