Mr. Muhammad Tariq Niaz completed his MS Research

Mr. Muhammad Tariq Niaz (MS Scholar Engineering Geology, NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar) has successfully defended his MS thesis Titled PREDICTION OF SQUEEZING POTENTIAL IN A HYDROPOWER TUNNEL: A CASE STUDY OF 69 MW LAWI HYDROPOWER PROJECT, CHITRAL, PAKISTAN.

His supervisor is Dr. Waqas Ahmad Associate Professor at NCEG, Co-Supervisor is Dr. Shah Faisal Assistant Professor at NCEG and the external examiner is Dr. Naveed Ahmad Assistant Professor at Civil Engineering Department UET Taxila.

Mr. M Tariq Niaz provided valuable insights into the squeezing assessment of the headrace tunnel by utilizing empirical and semi-analytical approaches. It is determined during the study that the headrace tunnel has significant squeezing potential.

The NCEG community cordially congratulates him and wishes him best of luck.
