NCE in Geology avails the Halliburton's University Grant Programme to procure the Decision Space Geoscience software 27/05/2021


We are pleased to announce that The National Centre of Excellence in Geology and oilfield services giant Halliburton have agreed to collaborate on training the next generation of geoscience graduates under Halliburton's University Grant Programme.
To this end, a meeting between the team of the NCE in Geology and Halliburton was held today. The meeting was attended by Drs. Irfan Jan, Shah Faisal, Younas Khan, and Khalid Latif, MS graduates Asad Taimur, and Mukhtiar Ghani and IT professional Shahid Waheed. The Halliburton’s Team was represented by Ahsan Jadoon, Bilal Saeed, Jagannath Mukherjee and Miss Tania Danish.
Halliburton will provide academic licenses of their state-of-the-art Decision Space Geoscience software to the National Centre of Excellence in Geology for an initial term of 3 years.
Their team will also provide support and training to the relevant faculty and MS stage students along with mentorship in dissertations. This will significantly enhance our technical prowess as our students will be capable of competing in international geoscience competitions as well as gain skills which will enhance their employability.
Our collaboration marks a new era in our academic sphere as we aim to develop a talent pool which companies can directly hire for their exploration endeavors.
