Positions Vacant: Research Fellows, Research Assistants, HEC Project No. HEC/R&D/PAK-US/2017/360

Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the appointment on the following positions, under Higher Education Commission project No. HEC/R&D/PAK-US/2017/360, with the following terms and conditions.

Project Duties: 

Candidate having good working experience related to structure geology, sedimentology /stratigraphy, geophysics, petroleum geology, laboratory analysis, report and manuscripts writing skills will be preferred. Duties and responsibilities include assisting P.I., Co-P.I. & team members for project work, working both in field and lab (modelling) including mapping, specimens collection from field areas in Kohat, Potwar-Salt Range and Bannu.

01	Research Fellows (03) Salary: as per HEC rules	The eligible candidates should have strong academic background with 1st class or CGPA 3.0 in Master/BS (4- Years Degree) & MS or M.Phil in structure geology, sedimentology /stratigraphy, geophysicist, petroleum geology from any HEC recognized University. Students enrolled in PhD will be given preference.
02	Research Assistants (05) Salary: as per HEC rules	The eligible candidates should have strong academic background with 1st class or CGPA 3.0 in Master/BS (4- Years Degree) in structure geology, sedimentology /stratigraphy, geophysicist, petroleum geology from any HEC recognized University. Students enrolled in M.S. will be given preference.

 

S.no 1 & 2: The candidates are required to posses at least two first divisions and no third division in the academic career.

Project information:

 The project duration is 36 months. The above positions are purely on temporary basis. The incumbent will be required to sign a bond for entire duration of the project.

Contract duration:

The initial appointment will be for one year, which will be extended for further two year based on the satisfactory performance of the applicant and availability of the funds from donor Agency.
