Ph.D. for the Session (Spring 2022-23)

Applications on prescribed form, available at the University of Peshawar website, for admission to PhD program Session 2022-23 (Spring Semester) in the following disciplines are invited as per details below:

NCE in Geology will enroll scholars in the following disciplines:

 ELIGIBILITY FOR Ph.D.:

1. Candidates having relevant BS/M. A/M.Sc./MS/MPhil (minimum 16 years of education) degree with at least CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4 in Semester System) or 1st Division (in the Annual System) from HEC recognized University, shall be eligible for admission.
2. The candidates should have to pass (60%) HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS or University own test according to HEC guidelines/requirements (where applicable as eligibility requirements). The test shall be general or subject-based.
3. Submission of the Statement of Purpose by the scholar along with the application form.
4. The candidates having valid HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS result do not need to appear in the departmental Test.

COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM:

1. Transcript of MPhil / MS for admission to PhD programs.
2. NTS GAT (Subject) Certificate (Result) for PhD for those who have already passed the said test.
3. Character Certificate issued by the institute last attended for MPhil/MS & PhD
4. 2 recent passport size photographs
5. CNIC and Domicile
6. Original documents to be presented for scrutiny before the Admissions Committee of the Centre at the time of interview.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

1. A candidate having valid GAT-Subject Score Card, is not required to appear in the said departmental test. He/she shall submit the Valid Score Card with his/her Admission Form.
2. Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before 22nd February, 2022.
3. Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before Provisional Admission.
4. Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
5. If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview even he/she has qualified the GAT (Subject)/ Departmental Test. Further, if the candidate appeared in the interview and later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage. 
6. In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department will be considered final. 
7. All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules / regulations shall be applicable on the admitted scholars.
8. The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme / admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed necessary.
