GEOTECHNICAL MATERIAL TESETING AND EVALUATION

The National Centre of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar is the leading Earth Sciences Research and Higher Education institution in the country. Established under the Parliament Act in 1974, the Centre offers post-graduate study programs including Ph.D, M.Phil, MS and Post-Graduate Diploma awarded by the University of Peshawar. This Centre has highly qualified faculty, state of the art laboratories including Geotechnical Engineering, Electron Microprobe (EPMA), Wet-Geochemistry, X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), X-Ray Diffractometre (XRD), GIS/Remote Sensing, Thin section Cutting and Polishing, GPS Geodesy, Petroleum Geochemistry, Hydrogeophysics, Petrography/Microscopy,Environmental Soil Science, Paleontology, and a National Library of Earth Sciences. The Centre has highly qualified faculty with 18 Ph.D, 5 M.Phil, assisted by over 20 Research Associates with M.Phil and Masters degrees. Recognizing Centre’s contributions in the field of Earth & Environmental Sciences, the Government of Pakistan has awarded the Center’s faculty with 4 Civil Awards and 4 Presidential Awards. 

NCEG announces admission in Post Graduate Diploma in “Geotechnical Material Testing and Evaluation”. The course is relevant to the construction materials and earth, which is required in the field of construction of buildings, roads and dams. Students will be trained for taking an effective role in the national building projects. Also the students will be trained up to a level to take responsibilities in projects implementation as a geologist in the construction of civil structures.
