"GEOTECHNICAL ASSESSMENT OF CARBONATE ROCKS BASED ON TEXTURAL CHARACTERISTICS FROM THE UPPER INDUS BASIN, PAKISTAN"

Mr. Subhan Ullah, PhD Scholar at the National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCE in Geology), University of Peshawar, successfully defended his PhD thesis under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Assistant Professor, Department of Geology, University of Peshawar, and co-supervision of Dr. Khalid Latif, Professor at NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar. The external examination panel included Dr. Muhammad Waseem, Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar, and Dr. Sajjad Ahmad, Associate Professor at the Department of Geology, University of Peshawar. His project was entitled "Geotechnical Assessment of Carbonate Rocks Based on Textural Characteristics from the Upper Indus Basin, Pakistan" in which he successfully linked the geotechnical properties and textural characteristics of carbonate rocks with practical applications in the construction industry. He successfully proposed cost- and time-effective lab practices in construction industries. The project outcomes have been published in reputed international journals and presented at international conferences. The NCEG community congratulated Mr. Subhan Ullah on this remarkable achievement and extended its best wishes for his future academic and professional endeavors.
