"REGIONAL AND LOCAL SCALE LANDSLIDE HAZARD, VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT IN DISTRICT GHIZAR NORTHERN PAKISTAN"

Mr. Nisar Ali Shah, Ph.D. Research Scholar, NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar, has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled REGIONAL AND LOCAL SCALE LANDSLIDE HAZARD, VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT IN DISTRICT GHIZAR NORTHERN PAKISTAN. He was supervised by Dr. Muhammad Shafique, Associate Professor, NCE in Geology, University of Peshawar. His examiners were Dr. Muhammad Shakir, Associate Professor, Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, and Dr. Iffat Tabassum, Professor, Department of Geography, University of Peshawar. He utilized the geospatial and field data for landslide hazard, vulnerability and risk assessment at regional and local scale in the northern Pakistan. His research may be utilized by managing authorities to reduce the landslide risk in the affected areas.
