MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

And
Abdullah AIRushaid Chair for Earth Science Remote Sensing Research (ESRS) Chair,
King Saud University

NCEG, University of Peshawar is an institution of higher learning and research in Geosciences, established in 1976 under the Federal Parliament Act 1974. NCEG is located at the University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.

Abdullah AlRushaid Chair for Earth Science Remote Sensing Research (ESRS) Chair,

King Saud University, was established in 2022 to produce qualified trained manpower in specialized areas of Geology, Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing, and Hydrogeology. This is considered essential in view of expanding programs of exploration of natural resources, particularly for Oil and Gas, Minerals & Groundwater.

This Memorandum of Understanding is to formalize cooperation between the NCEG and ESRS Chair at King Saud University. This cooperation shall promote and enhance the collaboration between these organizations; shall advance the knowledge base in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

• Exchange of scientific, and other technical information and data;
• Joint supervision of graduate students on research projects of mutual interest;
• Carry out joint workshops, seminars, and symposia as needed to foster collaboration on
• particular research themes;
• Exchange visits of individual research personnel for the purpose of collaboration on
• research projects and other activities.
• Collaborative efforts for commercialization include joint consultancies/projects.

In each of the above collaborative efforts involving human and fiscal resources from either side, specific plans for each activity will be jointly developed and agreed upon before implementation. Each partner shall designate focal person for coordination.
This Memorandum of Understanding is in effect from the date of the last signature below, is valid for two years from that date, and is renewable.
