MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Between
National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar
And
Department of Earth Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad

 

National Centre of Excellence in Geology (NCEG), University of Peshawar is an institution of higher learning and research in Geosciences, established in 1976 under the Federal Parliament Act 1974. NCEG is located at the University of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.
Department of Earth Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan, was established in 1973 to produce qualified trained manpower in specialized areas of Geology, Geophysics and Hydrogeology. This is considered essential in view of expanding programs of exploration of natural resources, particularly for Oil and Gas, Minerals & Groundwater.
This Memorandum of Understanding is to formalize cooperation between the NCEG and Department of Earth Sciences, Quaid-i-Azam University. This cooperation shall promote and enhance the collaboration between these organizations; shall advance the knowledge base in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

In particular, this cooperation shall include the following endeavors:

In each of the above collaborative efforts involving human and fiscal resources from either side, specific plans for each activity will be jointly developed and agreed upon before implementation. Each partner shall designate focal person for coordination.
This Memorandum of Understanding is in effect from the date of the last signature below, is valid for three years from that date, and is renewable. This Memorandum of Understanding is hereby signed by:
