NCEG signs MoU with China University of Geosciences

Prof. Dr Nimat Ullah Khattak of the National Center of Excellence in Geology, University of Peshawar, was invited to visit the Institute of Earth Sciences, China University of Geosciences, Beijing, for collaborative research, lectures and lending expertise in ongoing projects. During his stay at China Dr Nimat Ullah Khattak and Dr Wanming Yuan explored the possibility of collaborative research between the two institutions. An agreement was later on signed for joint collaborative research and projects between the institutes. The agreement also includes exchange visits of experts and students, co supervision of students for MS/PhD studies and availability of laboratory facilities. The agreement will enable students and researchers from the neighboring countries to work together and address key issues in geosciences. The domain of research shall be further broadened to other fields like thermochronology, Fission Track dating and the applications of tectoni-magamatic-mineralization.
