Course Contents:
Introduction to sample processing including crushing, grinding, powdering and analysis using multiacids techniques. Techniques used for analysis of various types of silicates, carbonates and other rocks. Determination of Silica, Aluminum, titanium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, phosphorus, alkali metals, gold, silver, lead, copper, zinc, nickel and cobalt by the spectrophotometric and atomic absorption and X-Ray Fluorescence methods. Rock analysis using Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer.
